I know a lot of people are focused on the Casey Anthony trial. Its a tragic story, but yet I’m fascinated by it. I think most of us are because we wonder just how does her mind work. Is she some sort of psychopath or sociopath? I’m not even sure what the difference is. Did something happen to her when she was young that caused her to not be able to connect to people emotionally?
Its obvious to me that her choice of attorneys falls short. Jose Baez and his team seem like law school dropouts to me. But what do I know, I’ve never had to choose a criminal defense lawyer. The judge seems knowledgeable, but again what do I know. I’ve heard commentators says “He’s doing a good job” and “The defense will certainly have plenty of grounds for appeal because of his rulings.”
I think her demeanor during the time that her child was missing, during her incarceration while awaiting trail, and even while she is sitting in court says a lot about her. No one but Casey Anthony knows what really happened to that child. Because she has proven herself to be a liar, no one will probably every know what really happened to her. I know everyone handles situations differently, but who goes out and parties when you know your child is missing or you know she is dead.
What causes someone to do something to a child, their own child? Was there jealousy between her and her mother over the toddler? She had to know that her parents would take Caylee, if she no longer wanted her. Lots of people are saying her family is dysfunctional. But I say who’s family doesn’t have some sort of dysfunction.
You never know what it going on in the privacy of your neighbors, friends, or even your families homes. We just have no idea how much evil is really out there, quietly lurking. My own family recently had its own terrible ugly secret revealed. To be honest, I’m having a really hard time understanding it or making any sense of it. I wish I had someone I could sit down and talk to about it. Finding out was mind blowing, devastating, and heart wrenching. If it ever becomes national news, I don’t think I could bear to see it on television every time I turn it on. Right now I’m able to push it to the back of my mind and try to forget about it.
Look how long Jaycee Dugard was locked away, before someone found her. Children are so innocent and helpless. All they require is love and care. I guess I’m just wondering is Casey Anthony one in a million or are there plenty more out there that we just don’t know about. It makes it hard to sleep at night.
